What is the Process for Sensitive Ad Categories?

This outlined process must be followed for all advertisers and targeting locations deemed as sensitive.

All advertisers or targeting deemed sensitive must be submitted for review and approval by first emailing our Support Team at support@ui.marketing. This review process must occur before any sensitive campaign can go live.

Our Support Team will reach out to the platform directly to confirm targeting and pixel capabilities for the advertiser in question.

The platform will require the following items for full approval/disapproval of the ad campaign and its targeting. Please submit these items in the email to Support:

  • Advertiser Landing Page: Please provide the landing page the campaign will be utilizing during setup. If no landing page has been provided, then any insight on the landing page messaging will help.

  • Advertiser Creative: Please provide the creatives the campaign will be utilizing during the live campaign in question. If no creatives have been provided, then any insight on the creative messaging will help.

  • Targeting tactics Advertiser is requesting to utilize (behavioral, content, geo-fencing, etc.)

Sensitive categories include:

  • Abortion clinics

  • Addiction/recovery, mental health and abuse clinics

  • Blood donation centers
  • Cannabis dispensaries

  • Casinos and gambling

  • Family medicine, internal medicine or general surgery

  • Health specialist offices

  • Hospitals

  • Immigration centers

  • Military bases

  • Municipal services (police stations, emergency services, government offices or buildings, embassies, prisons)

  • People under 18 (schools for K-12 and lower, children's hospitals, playgrounds)

  • Political affiliation

  • Religious affiliation

  • Sexual orientation

  • Memory care homes and independent or assisted living facilities for seniors

  • Trade unions

  • Polling locations. Political Policy applies to any location that holds polling for the time that the polling is active. This includes public places and places that would otherwise be available for geofencing outside of these times.

Our Support Team will respond with final approval/disapproval of the advertiser and targeting once they receive the platform’s response (typically within 3 business days).
