Advertising on Twitch connects creators, communities, and brands through high-impact video, display ads, and streamer-driven activations. All campaigns running on Twitch in the US must adhere to the following core guidelines and product-specific restrictions.
Core Ad Policies
All advertisements must follow standard quality, legality, and safety criteria.
Requirements
- Comply with all local laws, regulations, and required disclaimers.
- Clearly identify the advertiser and the product or service being offered.
- Be appropriate for the Twitch audience and contain accurate, truthful, and substantiated claims.
- No deceptive, misleading, shocking, gratuitously violent, or disturbing content.
- No offensive, intolerant, discriminatory, or harassing content.
- No ad targeting based on protected or sensitive personal characteristics.

- Financial Risk: Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes, and unapproved financial services.
- Gambling: Online casinos.
- Gaming Restrictions: Games listed on Twitch’s prohibited games list.
- Illegal & Dangerous Items: Legal and illegal recreational drugs/paraphernalia, lethal and non-lethal weapons, malware/scareware/spyware, and products designed to harm or incapacitate animals.
- Political & Religious Content: Partisan political products/services and religious advocacy.
- Rights Violations: Products, services, or technologies that infringe upon or enable the infringement of Intellectual Property (IP), privacy, or legal rights.
- Tobacco: Tobacco, cigarettes, vapes, and all related products.
