What creatives should we use on TikTok?

Video creatives in vertical format are the ideal creatives for TikTok. The length should be between 6-15 seconds.

The ideal TikTok creative blends in with the native content on TikTok. The less polished an ad, the better it seems to do.

What if my client doesn’t have a video, but wants to advertise on TikTok?
TikTok performs best with low-cost, DIY-style videos, so the cost of creating a video might be lower than the client thinks. If the client does not have the time or ability to create a video, we have a creative service in-house that can help create the ideal TikTok ad for a small fee.
If the client still insists on going without a video, we do have the option of running a display carousel ad as well. However, since TikTok is primarily a video platform, a video creative will always perform better.
Does my client need a TikTok account to run ads on TikTok?
No. We can run TikTok ads without the client having a TikTok account. When creating the creatives, we enter the client’s brand name into the system, which will be shown at the bottom of the screen while the ad is running.
What are my targeting options on TikTok?
TikTok offers a wide variety of both demographic and interest targeting. Please find a list of available demographic targeting below. For interest targeting, please describe your ideal audience to your campaign manager, and they will match it as closely as possible in the platform.
Ads for housing, credit, and employment are restricted. Demographic targeting is not possible for those campaigns, and geotargeting cannot target ZIP codes.

Can we track conversions on TikTok?
Yes, TikTok also has pixels that can be placed on any website. It can track page views or button clicks, and we can track up to 5 conversions per campaign. Please ask your campaign manager for a conversion pixel, or submit a support ticket if you need assistance placing a pixel on a client’s website.
What kind of performance can I expect on TikTok?
TikTok campaigns work very similarly to Facebook campaigns, where campaigns are run on a budget basis without specific impression or click guarantees. Performance on TikTok can be hard to predict. It tends to vary depending on which tactic used, as well as how well the creative is received by TikTok users. You can directly impact performance by using a creative that the users engage with.
