Streaming TV Creative Guidelines

This article discusses the creative guidelines to run a Streaming TV campaign


15-second and 30-second creative lengths typically have the most avails

File format MP4 files only
File quality 1080p (1920x1080)

22,500 kbps (22.5 Mbps) recommended

15,025 kbps–30,000 kbps (15.025 - 30 Mbps)

Certain requirements, such as bitrates, vary drastically by publisher


Audio sample rate: 48 kHz

Audio Bitrate: 192 kbps

File tags VAST tags only (VPAID & MRAID tags not supported)

While there is no specific version of VAST that should be used with Streaming TV creatives, keep in mind that VAST 3.0 & VAST 4.0 are typically less scalable


*Note – if you're using a standard VAST tag that includes a VPAID component (for example, as part of an API framework), then this will not cause any issues for your CTV creative. A VAST wrapper with VPAID functionality is different from a VPAID wrapper.


Creative images must be clear, recognizable, and relevant; text appearing in the ad must be legible. Creatives cannot appear sideways or upside down.
