Our Recommendations and Best Practices

  • We recommend waiting 8-10 days after the original send date because emails are “live” for 8-10 days.
    • Note: People who unsubscribe from an email list would not be able to receive or be targeted in an email redeploy which would result in a difference in reporting metrics.
  • Updated subject lines and creative assets are highly encouraged in order to regain attention and/or encourage reengagement. 
    • Write engaging subject lines
    • Write friendly and concise body copy
    • This may vary depending on the type of messaging/goal of the original email send. For example, an in-person event would vary from a limited-time offer sale or general awareness campaign.
  • Consider personalization on redeployments.
    • If you have a highly engaged portion of your email list, personalize content for that user behavior. 
    • And for those who rarely open your emails, customize content through redeployments for non-openers of your original send.
  • Note: Audience and Geographic targeting can’t be changed in a redeploy email because the audience is the same as the original send.
