Local SEO Review Responses: What They Are and Why They Matter
What are review responses and how are they beneficial to your Local SEO campaign?
What are Review Responses?
Review responses are personalized replies your campaign manager sends on your behalf to customer reviews on Google. This service is included in all our Local SEO packages and begins from Month 1 of your campaign.
Why Are Review Responses Important?
-
Boost Visibility and SEO: Google favors businesses that actively engage with their customers. Responding to reviews can improve your search rankings and drive more traffic to your website.
-
Build Customer Trust: Replying to both positive and negative feedback shows you value customer opinions and care about their experience, helping to build loyalty and trust.
-
Encourage More Reviews: When customers see you respond, they’re more likely to leave their own reviews, increasing your credibility and attracting new customers.
-
Address Concerns Proactively: Responding to negative reviews gives you the chance to resolve issues and demonstrate your commitment to customer satisfaction — turning unhappy customers into happy ones.
Review Response Details by Package
| Package | Number of Google Review Responses per Month |

When Do We Start Responding?
-
Review responses begin in Month 1 of your campaign; we do not respond to reviews received before campaign launch.
-
If you get reviews in Month 0 (before launch), we’ll retroactively respond to them if you don’t hit your response quota in Month 1.
Turnaround Times and Process
-
To ensure timely replies to negative reviews, we provide three pre-approved response templates at campaign start.
-
Negative reviews are responded to within 2 business days using one of these templates.
-
Positive reviews are responded to within the month without needing approval.
-
If more negative reviews come in beyond your monthly response limit, we’ll notify you via the Ui.Marketing line item.
-
We prioritize responses to the first reviews received each month, especially those with comments. If no new reviews arrive, we’ll revisit previous reviews from your campaign’s lifetime for response.
Optional Opt-Out
Advertisers may choose to opt out of review responses or specifically negative review responses. If you wish to opt out, please notify your campaign manager, and we’ll replace this service with another optimization.
